Work That Was Carried Out

Smartscan were engaged to undertake a number of services at Western Sydney Airport, located in Badgerys Creek right by Kemps Creek, Luddenham, Bringelly and Austral, including; Service Location, Utility Mapping, Environmental Excavation, Non Destructive Digging (NDD), Pavement Investigation, Consulting/Project Management.
There were approximately 700 desired penetration locations at the Western Sydney Airport for investigations ranging from geotechnical boreholes, environmental test pits and various structure installations. Upon completion of QL-B locating, all assets within 5m were pothloed and mapped in accordance with project guidelines.

Our excavators also undertook large amounts of test pitting to assist with the environmental assessment process and contamination investigation. This ongoing project is expected to continue into late 2023 for Smartscan Locators.
